Non Subaru Wedges of the 80's

Postby OKsubaru on Sat Aug 02, 2014 6:46 am

OK, so best start in the oppt opic rather than be picked up and dumped here later.

Thought it an idea to look at the other wedges of the world in the 80's, and, I guess, to define a wedge - maybe pop up headlights and angular rather than curvy design could be the parameters for inclusion

[b]So, to start off with there is the

Toyota Supra 1989,

Honda Prelude

Lotus Excel SE

Lotus Esprit Series 1 , sorry - 1977 !

Aston Martin Lagonda - it looks like it has eyelids!

Toyota MR2 1987

other might be able to contrbute the Italian breeds or this post might just fall on its arse without pics !

Isuzu had a model the same time period the XT was introduced. Can't recall what it was called. Had a chance to buy one cheap in the early 1990s and passed. My mistake.

the Isuzu was known as the Piazza in southern hemisphere. Then, may as well include things from other decades ( to boost the thread count:) ) Triumph had their own wedge in the TR7

Ferrari 412

It doesn't look like other Ferraris of the era which is why I think it's fitting.

Briclklin. Saw one about 15 years ago in a wrecking yard in Ohio. Looked good from the outside but the hidden metal work was really crude. Basically just flat sheets cobbled together.
