How close is 4x100 to 4x98? Are the wheels interchangeable?

Have you had any problems with cracking around the studs ? the alloy used apparently needs some heating after new fabrication to help confine the molecular disintegration around the fabrication site. I believe it is a 2040 grade alloy? I did some of these before my conversion to a 5 stud, but I had to have 1 X-Rayed and studied by a metalergist, who failed it.

i don`t had any problem with the alloy wheels, they are in perfect conditions, i didn`t make any modification on them

If you are reffering to my comment, you are mistaking what I meant.
I am NOT reffering to your alloy rims.

The hub assembly is made from tool steel, which is a grade of 2040 alloy, which is heat traeted (to a very specific red hot temperature) and contains carbon, chromium and other specialty seel mixes, to form a strong billet used in high strength areas like the hubs of cars, disk rotors and the like. Subaru use a very specific blend, which, when altered from design, can crack under loads, if not reheated. These cracks can let your studs come loose as the hole that holds them can crack. I have been down the same path and have redrilled hubs to a similar pattern, except they crack when driving hard. This is also why higher performance vehicles tend to use 5 stud hubs . the 4 x 140 pattern is wider and carries less load. The closer to the hub centre, the higher the load.

All I am saying is be very carefull. I can provide further research if you require it. :D
