Postby Huck369 on Mon Sep 16, 2013 6:14 am

I picked up a 2003 BAJA last Week,
It's a Limited, Leather, 5-Speed...and it's Yellow ! :)
bought it with a Possibly bad head gasket....yet to be determined, I did clean it up a bit...

Nice score huck! Bajas are such tools!

Love the color, but not in love with the vinyl graphics lol

Yeah, the graphics will go away if I can remove them without damaging the paint....

Hope you got a nice price... Those things are a million dollars out here. I love the yellow, but not the fact that yellow and turbo were never combined!

Tried that a few times, if its been on for awhile UV will have done its deal and you'll see where the decal was. Hopefully it was a recent addition.

use the 02-07 WRX EJ25 Turbo headgasket, ending in 642 i believe, those don't leak. the non turbo gaskets were failure prone all the way up to 2009+.

I usually use the Fel-Pro multi-plate head gaskets, and have had good luck with them...

If I had some spare money, I'd drop in one of those EE20 Turbo Diesel motors into it

Huck I've now done over dozen EJ25 motors, various years. Only Subaru OEM part I put in is the head gaskets. Subaru fixed the HG issue. Also, get the coolant additive (I think this year it still applies. Talk to the Subaru service guy about that. Have fun, way easier to work on than a EA82 or ER27.

I haven't had one come back yet.

Yes I did a lot of EJ25's.

Looks good. Man I wished they sold those here.
There is one that has been made out of a Lancaster and a rear cut of a Baja. Made by local Subaru Parts, Workshop. Painted blue and sliver.
