You can work offline and next time you have an Internet connection, it will automatically start synchronizing. If it sees it has been updated elsewhere, it'll ask you which copy to keep.

well, i tried several popular cloud based backup system included but not limited to google drive, icloud, dropbox; but honestly lack of their desktop app frustrated me. Currently i use smile2cloud Cloud Backup subscription & i found their desktop app feature rich & easy to operate.

Had this happen a few years back. I made a RAID 6 server, been running over 4 years without a lost byte.

There are simple on-line solutions, but for me having my own humming away, my files are far to large for a drop box. The small critical files get backed up weekly and kept in a fire rated safe.
