New Job..

Postby xoomer on Sat Oct 30, 2010 2:03 pm

So. I gave my notice today. Two weeks left in the Retail Hell that is O'Reilly Auto Parts. I wasn't even looking for a job and this popped up. I'm going to be working in a Chevrolet/Kia Parts Department, for about the same pay, I will have a longer commute so I have to get one of my Subaru's together cause the benz only gets 20 mpg. :(

@jeff, I've been putting this off since July08 when We lost CSK, O'Reilly's just expects to much for way to little, in june of this year they came in and gave everyone a 75 cent pay cut in my store. My store manager isn't expecting much for my last two weeks. When I handed him my Resignation it said I R Quitting, he laughed and threw it in the circular filing cabinet. I'm waiting for the day when I can chuck my keys back at them!!  :D :D now I just have to get into waking up at 7AM

Specially since I Just won an Award for "excellent Customer Service" and had them pay for my ASE, I am an Assistant Manager (New title is Retail Sales Specialist) with this company, so I still close every night. Lol. I asked my boss if he expected me to care about my shifts.. he said no... (O'Reillys has a policy to never rehire CSK all you would have to do is say boo.) I have to call my DM this week because apparently my First Assistant made my trophy pin and plaque for my O'Reilly Award Disappear. (threw them in the trash about a month before I was told about it.) I'm not really looking forward to this month.. I start a new job. have an awards ceremony to go to that is going to cost me $$$ (my dad is getting inducted into the Powerlifting Hall of fame)

So today and tomorrow are my day off. I am going to try and get the Stereo installed in my Benz so At least I can have a decent hour commute every day..
