Car Has Been Sold.

This would be an easy restore project!



A reasonably well maintained but high miler XT Turbo. It's nearly identical to the car in the famous New England-"thought you bought a Subaru" ad. (I have the original window stickers for show purposes)

This car is in the original stock form except for the radio. All the air suspension is intact and the rear struts have been replaced with used but much healthier units.

She has 199,000 miles, but runs well for the age and mileage. The engine is very clean. The auto tranny works amazingly well considering. This car could be an easy restore and would make an interesting show car if you care to do so. Needs some minor rust repairs and undercarriage rot fixed before long (not as bad as most XT's though). Throw a quality paint job on it and have fun.

Selling my 86' XT Turbo 4WD. Thoroughly enjoyed driving this car the past 5 years.

Got my new Chevy Spark! No longer need the XT.

This car deserves to be preserved and I'm hoping that one of you guys will buy it.

My wife's been driving / commuting with it past few weeks and her coworker was out taking pix of it the other day. All excited, seems she had one like it years ago!

Working on some multimedia of the car. Right now, it's at rock bottom price.

As I work out the suspension bug and put a new radiator in it the price will go up significantly.

Besides Bonnie is beginning to warm up to the car. She's already mentioned getting ME a new car so she drive the XT!!! More than once she's said,"It's really got a smooth ride!"

Anyway, if I do advert in Hemmings, it'll go up to 2.5k maybe 3. I may even put a bug in Jay Leno's ear........

Fixed a broken wire at the replaced rear strut and that let's the car sit nicely in the low position at all 4 corners. Replaced the radiator and haven't driven much on the freeway, yet. But, good results so far. Also replaced the tranny cooling hoses that were stiff and brittle.

Bonnie seems to enjoy commuting with the car while I ride the DR or use the truck.

You may be right. But, we're pushing 60. About time to let someone younger wrench for us. Besides, 40 mpg is sounding pretty good these days...

My wife's has bee driving it for a while cause her 2001 LOB still overheats on long trips. The XT is the one she can count on.

I just replaced the whole rear suspension on the OB. The rust was so bad that the struts were rotting thru and no longer had any damping at all.

However, my wife just requested that we hold on to it till her new car comes in.
