PICS OF YOUR XT OR 6!!!

Postby Zadok on Tue Nov 25, 2003 8:28 pm

THE PRODIGAL SON HAS RETURNED!
I'm back after a 5 year vacation!

I love these cars, and in fact I have had 4 of them!
First: My '86 4WD XT Turbo Auto, running 13psi, and it did have rally lights! Wait until you see what i did to that one!
Second: My '88 AWD XT6 Auto, which had a bad center diff, and the AWD only worked 1/18th of the time.
Third: My '89 AWD XT6 5speed with Diff. Lock. This was the best of all, so far! I got tons of snow hell raising footage in the past years. Sold it to Derrick for a good home! Wish now I never would have! I miss it!
Fouth: My '89 AWD XT6 5speed with Diff. Lock. My white XT6, had it for a couple months and ended up selling it to Gary!

Now, let me see some of your pics!

Supercharged,
Welcome Paul! :D It's about time your arse got on this site.

Hello Zadok,
Some nice rides you have/had. I'm particularly interested in that turbo auto you had running at 13psi. Whatever became of that car? Ever take it to the track (dragstrip) and if so, how fast did it run? Sound like it was a screamer. I want an old school turbo like there ain't no tomorrow but I don't have any room for anymore cars. I love my XT6 and it ain't going anywhere for now. Pics soon to come but it's nothing to look at. :?

SUPERCHARGED - you car runs now dosn't it? I've been meaning to ask around about whatever happened, as I have always been amazed by the write up on your car in the photo gallery. Any comments on it?

Well, I never took it to the track, b\c I never had the chance!
My turbo XT was my introduction into turbo cars, and it came with all the mistakes!!!
If you want to run 13-15psi, you gotta get the A/F mixture right.
I didn't understand that concept at the time, and killed the head gasket!
But before I did, It was really fast.
Not as fast as my 300hp 240sx turbo, but faster than a modified GSX!
I'm guessing it was low 14's in the quarter.

paul,

i live by the Hanover Watershed (just over the line in MD). i live about 10 minutes from Hanover. i go to hanover frequently, i can't ever recall seeing an XT6 up there. we likely live very close. if you've ever seen a white XT6 in hanover, it was likely me. or a maroon one, or a black one, or a black one with a red pin stripe....i've owned 5 XT6's.

here's a picture of mine in the snow from last year. i had quite a good time myself driving through the snow. that's just a picture of a plowed driveway there...no fun. the 6 had no problems through 10 inches of snow covered, hilly cut corn fields. that seems to be close to the limit. i've had mine burried in mud on a couple of ocassions.... open the door and mud pours in the floor board.

have fun,
Gary

Postby Zadok on Wed Nov 26, 2003 2:34 pm

grossgary,
I rule Hanover, Pa. in the winter, and have for the last 4 years!
We need to get together and talk XT6 stuff sometime!
Maybe you guys can help me sell my legacy turbo?
Anyways, give me a call sometime! 717-451-7469 - Jason

Now, ho else lives near Hanover?
