U-joint w/ bushings installed for shifter? Still available?

Postby RhodyM20 on Thu Jan 05, 2017 9:22 am

Hey guys,

I found this old thread last night while researching part numbers to confirm I have all the correct bits for my shifter rebuild:

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=12671&p=142068&hilit=shifter+bushings#p142068

Third post down, I see "Afterwards I found out that you can get the whole u-joint with 4 new bushings for about $23."

Can someone confirm which part / component this is and the part number? I spent two hours looking at exploded diagrams and could not confidently confirm which part user Hocrest was referring to.

Thanks,

Jeff

Did you see the online parts manual we have scanned and loaded?
Is that what you were searching?

If not - get that and look.

If it was - give the relevant pages and even post them in this thread if you can

I actually have all of the factory manuals and parts guide in hard copy and on my own PC. The problem is I don't know what I'm actually looking for since it's just a vague reference to a u-joint that supposedly has all the bushings self-contained within. I was more hoping it was a commonly-sourced part that others might recognize by description.

I think It's part number "2" or "6" in this diagram that you are asking about...

That is confusing when one number encapsulates multiple part numbers. Looks like Huck's got you covered. Search those numbers.
