As for the seats, really don't know but my first thought is "too big". Won't know until you try.

Hey guys.

I am going to do the conversion soon and just wanted to know where I can find the engine number as I have to get some paper work done before I can make a start.

Any help will be great :)

Hi guys

just an update, I am going to start the engine swap soon and when I remove the motor out from the Green Vortex I am looking to sell the it with gear box (this is the non turbo motor and 3sp Auto approx 216,000k's) but not sure if I am asking too much to sell it at 500$ together. Can someone give me some advise if I am asking too much for it?

Thanks again for everyones help

It depends greatly on the market and I doubt many here know your market.

Here you would have to wait a long time just to sell it, if ever. I have an xt6 trans but doubt it would ever sell. Your market is probably better.

Thanks Gary

When I start to take it out I will have to put it on Ebay or something. dont really want it lying around for too long, if it doesn't get sold within the first 2 weeks I'll have to give it to the wreckers.

Hi guys

just an update, I should be starting the conversion at the end of the month as my new garage should be fully complete by the end of next week. I have just got the xt6 breaks machined but I will also be needing a new set of break pads, just wanted to know do the xt4 break pads fit into the caliper?

Thanks again everyone :)

You can compare xt and xt6 part number to see if lads are the same. Rear pads are the same between them but I forget if fronts are.

Hey guys. Just had another question about putting th 5 stud breaks onto the original struts. Would it be possible to use the fwd struts (non air) and fit the xt6 hubs or do I have to do full change over if the struts :)

Don't exactly understand what you are asking. XT6 FWD struts will work with XT6 hubs. But will XT6 hubs work with XT control arms? Seem to recall the XT6 used a different/stronger control arm. The mounting bolt is larger and almost sure ditto for the ball joint. Seem to recall the XT ball joint hole in the control arm has to be enlarged to accept the XT6 ball joint.

Im also confused. Tell us exactly what parts and what you're attempting.

But XT6 hubs will not install on EA82 struts, no matter what style model or anything. So if you mean FWD EA82 struts - no that's not possible.

Thanks for the feed back, I noticed i wasn't very clear with the question but I think I may have worked it out for now.

I should be getting a 94 Impresser strut this weekend for a test fitment and possible having the fronts hubs installed.

the only problem I am having here is that my rear hubs only have a little life on them and findings replacements are almost impossible. Is there any chance of importing a new set from the states and get them shipped / floan over to Australia?

You don’t need to “test” EJ front struts. There is nothing to test.
They do not fit on EA82 knuckles but will on XT6 knuckles. The end. No testing needed it’s jusatbigysical facts and dimensions.

Rears - do you mean 4 or 5 lug?

I doubt they’re available new.

Thanks for the reply,

Looks like I'll be able to get the front and rears installed this weekend.

As for the break disk I am looking for a new set of 5 lugs
